Deliveries

Our general deliveries to the UK mainland are sent by Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class postal service. If ordered before 4pm, your order will normally be sent 1st class and should arrive the next day (excluding weekends & bank holidays), please note in exceptional circumstances, we ask you give orders dispatched via Royal Mail up to 14 days to be delivered.

Orders with a value over £30 will be sent recorded and a signature will be required upon delivery.

Domestic machines – are delivered FREE of charge contracted to an outside carrier (via Interparcel) who deliver Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays) between the hours of 8-30am and 5-30pm. A premium Saturday a.m. (9-00am to noon) delivery is available, at an additional charge of £30 per delivery for goods under 25KG, price on application for goods over 25KG; if you require this service, it must be specified at the time of ordering. Evening and Sunday deliveries are not available.

Reconditioned domestic machines – will incur a charge of £20 Under £150. Machines valued over £150 will require extra insurance available on request.

Horn Cabinets – Most Horn Cabinets take up to 28 working days to be delivered and installed by Horn’s team of delivery drivers. For smaller cabinets (that do not require installation), Chairs and Accessories delivery time will be up to 10 working days.

Extra-large / heavy products such as industrial sewing machines & ironers – will be sent on a 72-hour pallet delivery service. The pallet will be delivered to your chosen address and the driver will lower the pallet from his lorry outside your premises. At this point you will be responsible for the pallet and its contents. An adjustable spanner and scissors will be required for taking industrial sewing machines off their pallets.

Long Arm Industrial sewing machines – we negotiate day / time best suited with our technician & delivery vehicle. Prices upon request.

Industrial

1. Shipping and Dispatch:
– If you choose the option for your machine to be delivered fully assembled on a pallet, it does not qualify for free shipping. Shipping charges range from £79 to £299, depending on your location.
– Dispatch time is one working day. Standard delivery usually takes 3-5 working days, depending on your postcode. For more information about delivery pricing, please contact us.

2. Delivery and Signature:
– Ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the order.
– We will provide you with a tracking number so you can plan accordingly.
– Please provide a valid contact number in case the delivery company needs to reach you.

3. Delivery Conditions:
– The driver is responsible for delivering your order to your address but is not required to carry or install it inside your home.
– The driver will unload the pallet and place it at the kerb. You must be prepared to move the machine into your property.
– You will need a slicing blade and an adjustable spanner to unwrap and remove the machine from the pallet.

4. Inspection on Delivery:
– Carefully inspect your shipment before signing the delivery receipt. By signing, you agree that the shipment is in acceptable condition.
– Fully remove your shipment from its containers and inspect it thoroughly. If you see any damage, refuse the shipment.
– Notify us of any delivery discrepancies ASAP, and no later than 5 days after receiving the order. 
– If the product is signed for in good condition but is found damaged later, only replacement parts can be purchased at your expense, and you will be responsible for installing them.

5. Replacement of Damaged Products:
– We replace damaged products after receiving funds from the shipping company, which usually takes 2-3 weeks.
– If the claim is denied and the machine was signed for in good condition, the damaged product becomes your responsibility.

6. Packaging Materials:
– Keep all boxes and packaging materials until you are certain that your machine and all accessories are in satisfactory condition.

7. Returns:
– If you change your mind and wish to return the machine, you have 7 days to notify us.
– Machines do not qualify for free return. You will need to book and pay for the return shipping yourself.
– The machine must arrive in the same condition and packaging as you received it and within 14 days of purchase for a refund.
– A 20% restocking fee will be charged. Refunds are processed using the original payment method, usually within a few days of receiving the returned item.

8. Understanding the Delivery Agreement:
– If you do not understand this delivery agreement, please call us before signing for the product.

We regret that we are unable to specify exact delivery times for carrier services. All carrier deliveries must be signed for and you should keep your receipt. If goods are showing obvious signs of damage in transit upon receipt, please refuse to accept the delivery.

We can deliver to Scottish Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of White, Isle of Man & Ireland but the delivery cost will need to be quoted by one of our team, so please contact us on 01706 355529.
